In
Himachal, almost every village has either its own
temple or monastery and 'Puja Archan' is carried out there daily. District
Bilaspur is credited with the magnificent
Shikhra temples, which potray the rich cultural heritage and the most
notable place of worship over here is the Temple of
Naina Devi.
Chamba is another district that
is full of remarkable temples such as The
Sakti Temple, Chatrari,
Narayana Temple, Udaipur, Champawati
Temple, Chamunda Devi Temple and Lakshmi Narayan Temple. Located in
the Hamirpur district in Tira Sujanpur, there
are four temples located on the four corners of the Narbadeshvara Temple.
There are so many temples that dot the scenic
Kangra Valley, worth a visit are
Jawalamukhi and
Brajeshwari
Temples. The Chintpurni
temple in Una district is a structure believed to be built in the
later period of 15th-16th century A.D. but is a place of considerable
religious importance. Shimla region has also many important temples
scattered all over the district. The one that merits a visit includes
Kotesvara Temple, Bhima Kali Temple and
Bijata Devata Temple at
Sarahan.
